Sourced was originally not even sauce. When our founder Zach thoughtof the idea whilst working as an Exercise Physiologist, he wanted to create change in his own and his clients diets, starting with his favouritespread, peanut butter. Unfortunately, reality hit him hard when he went to Woolies and found multiple brands had already targeted that market.But, from that he thought of another way to make a difference in his own diet that could also benefit others. Clean, high protein sauce.
After finalising this idea and deciding to pursue it, Zach had forgotten one crucial thing, he had no idea how to make sauce, let alone what ingredients make one or if it was even possible to make it clean with protein. This is when ‘The Search’ began. Scouring online platforms and talking with experts at FSANZ, he put together a highly experienced team of food scientists and industry experts to create the formulation and push the sauce abilities to the max.
After over a year of sending formulations back and forth with the food scientists and consulting FSANZ and industry experts about how far the consumer laws could be bent to add the most amount of nutrients to Sourced. They finally formulated the current range of clean, high protein Sourced. The best tasting, and healthiest sauce on the market.
